Business bookkeeping advanced

This advanced bookkeeping session will give business owners the skills to understand the importance of how to track your business within a Cloud based software based environment showing you that accounting and understanding your business isn’t as hard as you think. These skills are transferable across different bookkeeping platforms.

Every business owner, should know the basics around general bookkeeping. Even if you have a bookkeeper, you still should understand the basics. Louise from Sovereign Accounts will help you to understand the bookkeeping requirements to ensure you are compliant for each financial year.

You must be registered with the Business Connect program.

You should be logged in & registered for the Webinar Teams meeting at least 5 minutes prior.

Have a pen & paper ready to write down your questions, as well as a bottle of water.

Online video recordings & resources will be available for those who attend.

This webinar is aimed at small businesses throughout NSW who have just started or have an established business and we have the capacity to host up to 500 people.

This webinar will take place on MS Teams, click below to book. You will receive the MS Teams link in an email prior to the workshop. This will be a live online event which will be recorded. The recording and resources will be sent to attendee’s in due course.

The NSW government Business Connect program has fully funded this webinar. The hours you attend webinars in addition to any one-on-one advisory provided will be deducted from the hours allocated to you under the program. Customers may typically access up to 8 hours of support per year (Inc. events and advisory) however, this may be extended dependent on individual circumstances.

Gary Wheatstone – Business Connect Co-Ordinator & Advisor

Gary Wheatstone is a Business Advisor and Program Coordinator. He has been involved with large corporate organisations, smaller family run operations and has been a small business owner. Beginning his career in Sydney, Gary worked in including marine, construction, architectural design and electrical.

Moving to the north coast of NSW and purchasing an existing business was a steep learning curve. Financing, procurement, customer service excellence, marketing, managing cashflow, staffing and all the other hats that a small business owner wears in a day became necessary skills. Gary is passionate about small business in regional areas. He has 23 plus years of experience as a small business owner in both retail and wholesale in a country town. He understands what a business owner must deal with day to day.

Gary has a Diploma of Management, Bachelor of Social Science and Cert IV Training and Assessment.

Louise from Sovereign Accounts

Louise is a Chartered Accountant working with Sovereign Accounts. She has over 15 years’ of experience working with a variety of SME clientele on various accounting platforms including; Xero, MYOB and Quickbooks. Her aim is to assist clients reach their full potential by doing what she does best, so they can do what they do best.

Louise has a Bachelor of Accounting and Bachelor of Accounting (Honours)(First Class Honours), as well as being a Registered Tax Agent.
